MLB season because of a lingering elbow injury. On Tuesday Yonder Alonso Jersey , Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein announced Morrow, who's been on the 10-day disabled list since mid-July because of a bone bruise in his elbow, won't return this year, per Patrick Mooney of The Athletic. The 34-year-old California native was scheduled to make his return from the DL this week after sounding an optimistic tone following a bullpen session Saturday."My mechanics have been free; I don't feel like I'm holding back," hetold reporters. "Everything feels good coming out. My command of my breaking stuff was really good, I thought. I have plenty to compete and throw the ball competitively. I'm the sign-off. PHOENIX (AP) — Wilmer Flores endeared himself to New York Mets fans when he got emotional during a game in 2015 after believing media reports he had been traded.About 3½ years later, a deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks suits him just fine.Flores and the Diamondbacks finalized a one-year contract on Monday Bradley Zimmer Jersey , guaranteeing the infielder $4.25 million. He gets a $3.75 million salary this year as part of the deal, which includes a $6 million team option for 2020 with a $500,000 buyout.“I’ve always liked playing in Arizona. It’s one of my favorite stadiums,” said Flores, who is close friends with Diamondbacks outfielder David Peralta. “When they called and had interest in me, I wanted to go there.”Flores became a free agent last month when the Mets didn’t offer a 2019 contract.A versatile 27-year-old, Flores hit .267 with 11 home runs and 51 RBIs last year http://www.indiansfanproshop.com/authentic-brandon-guyer-jersey , playing first, second and third base. He made $3.4 million.Flores is a career .262 hitter with 68 homers and 253 RBIs in parts of six seasons, all with the Mets.He can earn an additional $250,000 in performance bonuses in 2019 based on plate appearances: $25,000 for 400, $50,000 each for 450 Erik Gonzalez Jersey , 500 and 550, and $75,000 for 600.Diamondbacks general manager Mike Hazen said Flores will play primarily at second base, but could see some time at third and first. Flores playing second base regularly likely would mean Ketel Marte will move to center field after appearing in 131 games at second last season.“We feel like he’s a quality player and from an offensive perspective, adds to our lineup,” Hazen said. “Has a little bit of power, good contact ability http://www.indiansfanproshop.com/authentic-josh-tomlin-jersey , hits really good pitching. The proposed swap for Carlos Gomez fell through, and two days later Flores hit a game-ending 12th-inning homer to beat Washington. To clear a roster spot, Arizona left-hander Jared Miller was designated for assignment.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a talented group of wide receivers. Arguably the most talented in the NFL Cheap O. J. Howard Jersey , and definitely tops in the division. But, which ones should be on your draft board entering your fantasy football draft?*Statistics provided by Pro Football FocusPlayer: Wide Receiver, Mike Evans (WR17 in 2017)2017 Fantasy Football Statistics:- 71 receptions- 1,004 receiving yards- 5 touchdowns- 1 fumble- 200 PPR points (.34 points per opportunity)Evans is obviously going to be a draft target for many fantasy football enthusiasts in 2018, but we’d be kidding ourselves if we didn’t acknowledge his WR17 finish one season ago is a bit discouraging.Simply put, Evans was not immune to the offensive deficiency experienced by the team in 2017, and just how much we all believe the unit can improve this season is going to be a big factor in this decision.2018 Fantasy Football Projections:- 81 receptions- 1,171 receiving yards- 8 touchdowns- 1 fumble- 248.8 PPR points (WR9)Obviously PFF has some confidence Evans can bounce back and regain his Top-10 status in the fantasy football world. So, do I. Unless you’re in a ten-team league or larger, this puts the Buccaneers receiver squarely in WR2 territory which is good place to put him as we all wait to see just how this season shapes up.2018 Fantasy Football Outlook: WR, Mike EvansBest Match-Up: Week 9 @ Carolina PanthersWorst Match-Up: Week 1 @ New OrleansWhere to Draft: 2nd RoundFantasy Playoff Potential: Two of Evans’ three playoff match-ups are against Top-10 defenses. If he truly rebounds, you may be able to survive it, just make sure you game plan to have a receiver with softer match-ups if you do. Jonathan Dyer-USA TODAY SportsPlayer: Wide Recevier, DeSean Jackson (WR43 in 2017)2017 Fantasy Football Statistics:- 50 receptions- 668 receiving yards- 3 touchdowns- 0 fumbles- 139 PPR points (.31 points per opportunity)Jackson is one of those receivers who probably shouldn’t be drafted because the volume of production simply isn’t there enough in most fantasy formats. However Buccaneers DeSean Jackson Jersey , his explosiveness and the possibility of finishing every snap in the end zone keeps him relevant and almost always sees someone draft him. This year will be different. Not only did he and Jameis Winston simply not put together a strong showing, the quarterback is going to be out for the first three games and the emergence of another Buccaneers receiver is threatening to take some targets away from the veteran speedster.2018 Fantasy Football Projections:- 47 receptions- 732 receiving yards- 4 touchdowns- 1 fumble- 156.2 PPR points (WR48)At first glance, more yards and more touchdowns mean improvement. Fewer catches though means less consistent performance, and that’s a problem.Jackson wasn’t a reliable fantasy option in 2017, and if these numbers hold up, he won’t be one in 2018 either.2018 Fantasy Football Outlook: WR, DeSean JacksonBest Match-Up: Week 9 @ Carolina PanthersWorst Match-Up: Week 1 @ New OrleansWhere to Draft: Undrafted Hand-Cuff OptionFantasy Playoff Potential: With two tough defenses scheduled for playoff time it’s going to be hard to justify keeping Jackson on your roster. Hand-cuffing wide receivers isn’t a very popular strategy, but if you have an open spot and Evans on your roster, maybe think about stashing Jackson until a better free-agent comes available. The search is on for a new head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For weeks, just about everyone had been speculating and chiming in on the job security of Dirk Koetter. After official word he had been let go by the organization, we’ve been told Jason Licht will be leading the search for a new sideline leader with the aid of the Korn-Ferry Firm.Conversations about who could be hired to replace Koetter have already been going on, and now they’re about to peak.News about former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians being willing to hear out the Bucs has only helped to increase the pace of the conversation.Bucs Nation’s own Evan Winter supports the idea of hiring Arians and has even gone on record writing,If you didn’t want this to happen before, you definitely should now.But what would it mean? Both coach Koetter and Arians run an Air Coryell style of offense predicated on deep passes and power running. So Buccaneers Jason Pierre-Paul Jersey , would the team really look any different on offense?Well, yes and no. Which are both good answers. However, there’s also a down side to both as well. Here are some similarities and some differences Bucs fans might witness if our hopes and dreams are realized. Don’t worry, it starts a little down, but gets better at the end.SIMILARITIESDEEP TO SHORT READSHere, on third-and-five against the Pittsburgh Steelers during Week 6 of the 2015 NFL Season, the Cardinals are nearing field goal range and a new set of downs here would go a long way to putting points on the board.Arizona comes out in shotgun with five receivers split wide. Good formation for spreading the defense thin and opening space for receivers to roam free. Which is exactly what happens. From the far left side of the offensive formation (following motion), Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has a wide open receiver come free and clear at the first down marker for an easy conversion and brand new collection of downs. But he doesn’t throw it there. Why? Well, because this offensive scheme is predicated on the deep ball, remember? So, instead, Palmer sees a receiver running down the seam with inside position on the defender and thinks he can fit it in before the deep safety makes it over. He’s wrong, and the Cardinals would punt. Arizona would go on to lose this contest 25-13 in what would become Arians’ best year as the team’s head coach. This conversion doesn’t guarantee victory of course, but it was a big missed opportunity in the front half of the season.THROW TO THE STICKSRemember the time Jameis Winston was sacked because the offensive line didn’t hold up long enough for long-developing routes to actually develop leaving Winston no receivers to throw to as the pocket collapsed around him?Yeah Cheap Lavonte David Jersey , so does Carson Palmer. This play, again a third down, shows the Cardinals running just three receivers downfield while leaving the rest in for protection. Which makes sense.Problem is, the protection doesn’t hold up, and the extra personnel staying in to give Palmer the time needed to wait for a receiver are ineffective at best.Arizona came in to this play needing seven yards. The shortest route on the play broke at twelve. The Cardinals lost seven on the play and punted to the 2016 Seattle Seahawks en route to a Week 7 tie.DIFFERENCESA RED ZONE....TOUCHDOWN?Obviously the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have scored touchdown’s in the red zone, but we’d be kidding ourselves if we didn’t admit the lack of scoring inside the opponent’s 20-yard line is a contributing factor to why coach Koetter isn’t around any more. And I’m not saying the Arizona Cardinals scored at a 100% rate in the red zone under Arians either. But, this play is encouraging if the Bucs land the flat cap wearing dynamo. This play has everything. Motion, creativity, use of individual skill sets and the left tackle even almost messes the whole thing up!It’s great, and can’t you just see Adam Humphries running this play for a Bucs touchdown in 2019? I sure can.Under Koetter and Monken this season, the Bucs got better in red zone scoring. After getting into the end zone just 49% of the time in 2017, they earned six points on 60% of their trips in 2018.The team regressed in the second half of the season however, considering the team scored touchdowns on 63% of their trips in the first eight games.TWO RUNNING BACKS AND A MOTIONI was personally very excited to see this. I can’t count how many times I’ve begged and pleaded to see Peyton Barber and Ronald Jones, or Peyton Barber and Jacquizz Rodgers Buccaneers Ali Marpet Jersey , or Doug Martin and Charles Sims, or any two running back set line up with the quarterback in the backfield.Never happened. If it did, it was such a rare gem my subconscious won’t allow me to recall it.Here, Arians has his Cardinals offense lined up in this exact formation. And making things even better, he puts David Johnson in motion to take advantage of a defense who lined up to play against two running backs and suddenly has to face three receivers with a wheel running back coming out of the backfield. It’s an easy read. If the linebacker drops deep to cover the player split left, then dump it off to the leaking running back. If he stays close (which he does here), then hit the out route with no defender underneath.Beautiful.The Tampa Bay Buccaneers finished the 2018 season averaging 415.5 yards per game (3rd in the NFL) but 12th in the league in scoring with 24.8 points per game.Tampa Bay represents the only team in the Top-5 among league leaders in yards per game to not make the post-season. The only post-season teams scoring fewer points per game than the Bucs are the Baltimore Ravens (24.3 points ppg) and Philadelphia Eagles (22.9 ppg). Similarities between Arians and Koetter should help to ensure the offense’s ability to move the ball remains intact.Arians’ west coast wrinkles sprinkled in to his Coryell style of offense should bring a new level of creativity and versatility to a very talented roster.Fixing the defense? Well, a lot will be told there by the coordinator hired in Tampa. We don’t know who that person is just yet, but you can be sure we’ll look into that aspect of this once we do.For now, we’ll all have to wait and see what Jason Licht and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers do next and think about what might be.

Point values will be distributed to each, which will then be added up for our weekly Buccaneers of the Week Standings. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are 2-0. That’s right, there was no letdown for Dirk Koetter and his team after last week’s season-opening 48-40 win in New Orleans. They came back to Raymond James Stadium on Sunday and took down the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 27-21. Let’s dive into the top five Bucs from week two.Honorable MentionsAny time you win a game in the NFL, especially against a team like the Eagles, it takes more than five big performances. Unfortunately http://www.tampabaybuccaneersteamonline.com/jameis-winston-jersey , there will always be some deserving players that miss this weekly list. Some just need to be talked about, so that’s where we are here. For Sunday’s win over Philadelphia, some honorable mentions include: O.J. Howard (three catches for 96 yards and a touchdown), Chris Godwin (five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown), Ryan Smith (nine tackles, two passes defended), Lavonte David (nine tackles, one pass breakup, one fumble recovery) and Gerald McCoy (one sack, two quarterback hits).No. 5: Mike Evans (One point)Mike Evans had another big day on Sunday, his second straight, but a couple of mistakes kept him from potentially being higher on this week’s list. A dropped pass that killed one drive and a fumble that allowed the Eagles to get back in the game were low points of what was otherwise a great performance. The fifth-year receiver caught 10 passes on 12 targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in the win. Evans picked up a couple of milestones on Sunday. He pulled into second place in franchise history for career receptions and tied the team record for most career receiving touchdowns. The 2014 first-rounder has been a stud in the first two games, being the Bucs’ reliable go-to guy. With so many other dangerous pass-catchers on this roster, it was uncertain how many targets Evans would be getting. But through two weeks Authentic Peyton Barber Jersey , the number of weapons on the offense has effectively pulled some of the defense’s attention away from Evans. He hasn’t missed an opportunity to take advantage of that.No. 4: Jason Pierre-Paul (Two points)There was a lot of excitement when Tampa Bay traded for Jason Pierre-Paul in March. The pass rush in 2017 was horrible and that acquisition was part of the front office’s effort to turn things around. Pierre-Paul did some nice things throughout the preseason and was okay in week one, but week two belonged to him. The ninth-year veteran picked up five tackles, his first sack of the season and delivered four quarterback hits. The Bucs need that type of disruption from their defensive line this season, especially with the injuries and overall youth of the secondary. Opposing quarterbacks will want to pick on the rookies and inexperienced starters as much as possible, but it becomes harder to do that when a guy like JPP is hawking you down at every turn. He is a huge asset for this defensive line that has already looked much-improved over last year. Watching the former South Florida Bull come out at Raymond James Stadium and have such a big day should have Buccaneer fans feeling very good about what he’ll do throughout the rest of this season. No. 3: Kwon Alexander (Three points)The opening drive of the 2018 season was a tough one for Kwon Alexander. Ever since, he has been the guy that the Bucs have gotten used to over the past few years. After having a pretty good day overall against the Saints, Alexander was all over the field on Sunday against the Eagles. By the end of the day, he had seven tackles (six solo), one sack-fumble and three tackles for loss. Tampa Bay would love some more of that.Given the state of their secondary, the Bucs need to be strong against the run. Kwon is a big part of that, so his successful day on Sunday was huge for the unit. Philadelphia ran for 91 yards, which marked the second straight game that the Buccaneer defense held the opposition to fewer than 100 yards on the ground. 2018 is a big year for Alexander’s future, as he is expected to get a contract extension sooner rather than later. With more days like he had on Sunday, that payday will get bigger and bigger. For now Authentic Chandler Catanzaro Jersey , the former LSU Tiger debuts on Buccaneers of the Week with three points.No. 2: DeSean Jackson (Four points)If not for the top entry on this week’s list, it would be easy to crown DeSean Jackson as the team’s MVP for the first two weeks of this season. A largely disappointing 2017 season seems like a distant memory after just two regular season games in 2018. Jackson caught five passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns against New Orleans in week one, then picked up right where he left off by opening Sunday’s game against Philadelphia with a 75-yard touchdown catch. Overall, he caught four passes for 129 yards and the touchdown. The 75-yard touchdown catch on the game’s first play tied D-Jax with Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for most career touchdown receptions of 60-plus yards. It was the 31-year-old’s 23rd such reception of his career and it came against his former team. This year, Jackson has been the deep threat that the Bucs had hoped he would be. He obviously has a strong connection with Ryan Fitzpatrick and the team has to hope that he has developed the same type of chemistry with Jameis Winston—whenever he does return. It’s clear through two weeks that Jackson still has plenty left in the tank, as he takes a top-three spot on this list once again.No. 1: Ryan Fitzpatrick (Five points)Obviously. Just like last week, there is no other choice for the top guy on this list. Ryan Fitzpatrick was dominant for a second straight game, tearing up a tough Philadelphia defense for 402 yards and four touchdowns on 27-of-33 passing. His first interception of the year came on a pass that should have been caught by O.J. Howard, so that has no effect on where the 14th-year veteran stands this week. He is simply on another level right now. Fitzpatrick became the first quarterback IN NFL HISTORY to throw for 400-plus yards and four touchdowns in each of his team’s first two games of the season. He leads the NFL in passer rating (151.5) and has thrown for a total of 819 yards and eight touchdowns. All of that has happened in two games. No wonder he’s out there rubbing beards with Evan Smith pregame and taking DeSean Jackson’s clothes for his postgame press conference.Fitzmagic, folks.Updated Buccaneers of the Week Standings through week two:Ryan Fitzpatrick— 10 pointsDeSean Jackson— 7 pointsMike Evans— 5 pointsKwon Alexander— 3 points(TIE) Offensive Line/Jason Pierre-Paul— 2 pointsVernon Hargreaves— 1 point

The rookie tight end has carried over an outstanding performance in training camp to the preseason Cheap Kawann Short Jersey , where he showed an impressive burst of speed on a 27-yard catch-and-run touchdown reception from Cam Newton, and delivered a powerful seal block that helped spring Christian McCaffrey for a 71-yard touchdown in Friday night's preseason win over the Miami Dolphins. And, he's still just learning."He doesn't even know how good he's capable of being," Newton said of the 6-foot-4, 260-pound Thomas. The Panthers didn't know exactly what they were getting with Thomas when they drafted him 101st overall because he hadn't seen all that much action as a receiver at Indiana. He spent two seasons with the Hoosiers and caught 28 passes, 25 of those as a senior. He spent his first two seasons at Nassau Community College. But Carolina's scouts became convinced Thomas has what it takes to be a playmaker, and general manager Marty Hurney was sold on him as he studied more film."He's kind of a little bit of an unknown because he only really played one year of major college football," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said. "We are fortunate that our college scouts pointed him out as somebody they thought could help us."Newton said Thomas' size and versatility as a receiver and a blocker will make him a "key asset" this season on offense.Thomas is making a strong case for being Carolina's No. 2 tight end behind three-time Pro Bowl selection Greg Olsen. The Panthers lost Ed Dickson to free agency and Chris Manhertz hasn't practiced since the start of training camp due to a leg injury.Rivera said Thomas' growth has been noticeably accelerated because of the increased reps he's received with Manhertz out."I think as a young man, he could come in and be a very good second or third behind Greg Cheap Greg Olsen Jersey ," Rivera said. "When Chris gets back, we'll have a good combination of tight ends."Playing alongside Olsen, an 11-year veteran, doesn't hurt either."I think just walking in (to the NFL) he could not have been in a better situation," Newton said. "I kind of just glance over in practice from time to time and see Greg taking him up under his wing, showing him how to practice, how to finish, how to run certain routes. He couldn't have been in a better situation, learning from him every day."All of that is good news for Thomas http://www.pantherscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-devin-funchess-jersey , who endured plenty of heartache as a child. When he turned 8, he lost his mother Martha to kidney failure. The next year his father Earl died of a heart attack, leaving the children's future up in the air. That's when his then-19-year-old brother Clif Farmer stepped up to gain custody of him. Farmer raised his younger brother from that point forward."I want to make them happy and proud," Thomas said, adding his goal is simply to get better and keep proving himself.Teammates are noticing.Panthers middle linebacker Luke Kuechly said Thomas could be on his way to big things in Carolina."He does everything the right way," Kuechly said. "He blocks, he catches well and he runs well. I think he has picked things up really well."NOTES: Panthers starting left tackle Matt Kalil was scheduled to meet with a physician Monday after missing his second straight practice with knee soreness. Kalil has been battling issues since the middle of training camp. The team had no immediate word on the extent of that injury. The Panthers can ill afford to lose a third starter on the offensive line after right tackle Daryl Williams and left guard Amini Silatolu went down with injuries. The Bengals and Panthers are involved in something of a shootout, which isn’t entirely unexpected. And the Bengals are doing their part without wide receiver A.J. Green.Green went down and has been listed as questionable to return with a groin injury, but he’s sitting on the sidelines watching a wild game unfold. The Panthers are up 28-21 Graham Gano Jersey , but Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton just hit Tyler Boyd for a touchdown to get them to within a score. The Bengals’ strategy appears to be finding the guy covered by Panthers safety Colin Jones and throwing to him. Jones, normally a role player and special teams standout, has replaced Da'Norris Searcy in the starting lineup after Searcy was placed on IR last week. The Panthers are mixing the run and pass effectively, as Cam Newton has rushed for two touchdowns and thrown for two more, and running back Christian McCaffrey is over 100 yards rushing.
It has taken six seasons Womens Daniel Kilgore Jersey , one of which he didn’t even play in, but Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan of QBs in the National Football League. Three games into the 2018 regular season, Tannehill is ranked fourth among all quarterbacks, in terms of the all important QB rating, and just last weekend, he brought the Dolphins back from a fourth quarter deficit to beat the Oakland Raiders, in a game Miami probably had no business winning.Cynics can point out that two of his three touchdown passes in that game traveled no more than three feet in the air before his teammates ran them in for scores, but people can say what they want; they still count as touchdown passes, and even without them, his rating would still be well North of a hundred. What’s more, Tannehill has become even more of a leader, on and off the field this year, which is saying something. Charged with the unenviable task of turning around a moribund franchise when he arrived as a first round pick in 2012 Womens Robert Quinn Jersey , his career has not been without its bumps along the way. Heck, prior to the 2012 draft, I wanted Miami to take Brandon Weeden. Weeden, who will be 35 next month, hasn’t played in a regular season game since 2015. Having had to deal with a new offensive coordinator virtually every year until recently, he’s done pretty much everything his team has asked of him, dating back to his years at Texas A&M. It has to have been a strange journey for Tannehill. His college coach, Mike Sherman, who would later become his OC with the Dolphins, saw fit to elevate one Jerrod Johnson to A&M’s starting quarterback, over Tannehill, in 2009. For the record, Johnson has never played in an NFL regular season game http://www.thedolphinsfootballauthentic.com/ja_wuan-james-jersey-authentic , nor even been listed on an NFL team’s 53 man roster. During his early years with the Dolphins, Ryan was known primarily for two things: being the NFL’s most sacked QB and for being the league’s most coddled quarterback. In 2013, the team allowed starting corner Sean Smith, a second round pick in 2009 and reliable starter at the position, to leave in free agency, so that they could sign WR Brian Hartline to a lucrative contract extension. Smith would go on to play five more NFL seasons with Kansas City and Oakland while Hartline would last only two more years in Miami, despite signing a five year deal, with 2.5 million in guaranteed money. Also in 2013, the Dolphins signed former Pittsburgh WR Mike Wallace to a five year, sixty million dollar deal. Wallace would last only two years with the Dolphins. In the 2014, ‘15 and ‘16 drafts, the Dolphins became the only team in NFL history to spend a first, a second http://www.authenticsmiamidolphins.com/cheap-daniel-kilgore-jersey , three thirds and a fourth round pick on wide receivers in a three year period.Fast forward to the present day. With mostly late round draft picks and relatively inexpensive free agents, the Dolphins suddenly have one of the most feared passing attacks in the league, and Tannehill is obviously a major reason why. Always careful with the football, he has taken his game to a new level thus far this season, which is even more remarkable when you consider that he hadn’t played in a regular season game since December 2016, until three weeks ago. Regardless of the controversy he has been at the center of in Miami in years past, there is little argument as to his value to the Dolphins today. The two best things that have ever happened to him may have been turning thirty, and no longer being viewed as a guy who has to be the savior of the franchise. With an improved defense and running game, Ryan Tannehill is making a very strong case for being the quarterback of this team for the foreseeable future. I’m glad he’s finally having some real success on the field, because, as an all around good guy, he’s someone we should all want to root for. It’s an exciting time to be a Dolphin fan. DAVIE, Fla. The goal is for Tannehill to return for the game at Indianapolis on Nov. 25, he and coach Adam Gase said. But Tannehill said his shoulder still hurts on every throw. And the bigger issue is a lack of arm strength."The pain I can deal with," he said Wednesday, speaking to the media for the first time since he was hurt Oct. 7. "It's not just pushing through pain. It's physically being able to get the ball where it needs to go."After being hurt against Cincinnati, Tannehill rested his arm for 10 days and then began a throwing program. But every pass puts stress on the capsule, and the result when he threw was disappointing, Tannehill said."It just wasn't close to where it needs to be to do the job," he said. With progress slow and uneven, the Dolphins decided more rest is best."We haven't had the jump that he was looking for," Gase said. "That's why we're kind of taking a step back."A step back sounds like setback, but Tannehill said he's confident he'll play again this season 鈥?perhaps even at Indy."It has been kind of a weird deal Youth Mike Gesicki Jersey ," he said. "I'll shut it back down, and we'll see where we're at next week."The Dolphins have been hit hard by injuries this year. Gase said the status this week of tackles Laremy Tunsil and Ja'Wuan James, both nursing knee injuries, likely won't be determined until shortly before the game. Both were limited in practice Wednesday.Tannehill said he expects to play through pain the rest of the year when he returns. There's no indication surgery will be needed after the season, he said.Miami is 2-2 with Osweiler starting. The Packers game will be the 25th out of the past 30 that Tannehill has missed because of injuries."Whenever you're not able to play, it's extremely hard," he said. "Unfortunately it's part of this business."
The Miami Dolphins Youth Josh Sitton Jersey , despite falling short in their efforts to qualify for postseason play for the second time in three years, were an exciting team in 2018. be an equally exciting off-season. If you’re not one of the top eight to ten teams in the league, you can expect changes every year. If you’re one of the bottom five or six teams in the NFL, you can look forward to a lot of change every off-season.I have mixed feelings about Adam Gase being fired this past week. Like a lot of folks, I believe he’ll be a pretty darn good coach someday. He just had too much on his plate in Miami, and he was apparently too insecure to delegate some responsibilities to the coaches he himself hired. Whether by fate or by design, he had coaches on his staff who weren’t good enough or established enough to succeed him in the event he was let go. It’s also not a good idea to tell your boss you don’t have time to talk to him when your performance hasn’t been very good lately. From what I understand, Gase’s relationship with Ross took a turn for the worse after the loss at Indianapolis the week of Thanksgiving.Unlike a playoff run, which all too often comes to an abrupt end by about halftime of the first playoff game for Miami, a sub-par season that culminates in the head coach being fired and the front office reshuffled can create considerably more excitement that potentially can last a lot longer. As anyone who comes to this page knows by now, I firmly believe that one of the greatest sins a football team can commit is finishing at or near the .500 mark. Since the early 2000’s, the Dolphins have averaged about seven and a half wins per season. Coupled with their chronic inability to maximize their draft choices or come up with a vision for just what it is they want their team to be http://www.dolphinsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-akeem-spence-jersey , mediocrity in Miami has been the one constant for South Florida’s NFL outpost. When Stephen Ross said at his season ending press conference that going 3-13 might be necessary for the team to get where he wants it to be someday, I think a lot of people breathed a huge sigh of relief. When the status quo isn’t working, something has to change. I believe that Ross is one of the best owners in the league; his main problem is himself - his two biggest shortcomings are probably that he’s too nice and that he tries too hard. Unlike with previous head coaches Joe Philbin and Tony Sparano, he didn’t wait for a fourth year to jettison Gase, and I have to give him credit for that. He rightly saw the team going backward from a talent standpoint and that anytime you’re at or near the bottom of the league both offensively and defensively, you’re just not very good. Going all out with a bunch of thirty something veterans is something you do to try and win a title, or at least contend for one. It is not something you do just to squeak into the playoffs as the sixth seed, so that you have to face the top seeded team at their place and then get pounded into the turf. The Dolphins have apparently decided on youth movement, and hopefully, younger, cheaper, hungrier players will form the foundation that they can add a few key free agents to in two or three years to try and make a run deep into the playoffs. It’s January, and that means everyone is 0-0. It’s a time for optimism. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge the return to the Phinsider of a great treasure that was lost to us for a while. Greg Jesse Davis Jersey , the Meyne man, also known as CT1361, has come back to the site. As I recall, he’s a guy that seemingly everyone wants to give the most grief to but misses the most when he’s not around. In most avenues of life, that’s a pretty good definition of respect. Welcome back, sir. Once again, it’s an exciting time to be a Dolphin fan, and if they do somehow manage to go 3-13, 4-12 or 5-11 during the 2019 NFL season, there will be even more reason for excitement next year. A heck of a lot more excitement than there would be by going 8-8, anyway. The Splash Zone 8/30/18: Kenyan Drake Ready To Become A Star The Miami Dolphins have a star in the making and his name is Kenyan Drake. Ravens defensive line Youth Tavon Young Jersey , Brandon Williams is expected to bang helmets with one or two 300-pound brutes before pushing them aside so one of his teammates can make the tackle.Although the task is instrumental to the success of Baltimore's gritty defense, it often goes unnoticed by the casual fan and does not produce impressive statistical numbers."I'm totally fine with what I do," Williams said after practice Monday. "I know it's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it and I'm happy to raise my hand and volunteer. As long as my guys have my back and are making plays around me, that's all I care about."Told it's not exactly a sexy job, the 6-foot-1, 336-pound Williams smiled and said, "Oh, it's sexy. As long as I'm there, it's sexy."Drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft out of Missouri Southern State, Williams has been Baltimore's starting nose tackle for the past five years. He follows a long line of players who have effectively filled an unglamorous, pivotal position."A lot of interior linemen who have come through here and had the honor of being considered a Raven for life, the No. 1 thing they had was toughness," Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs said."Can you be mentally tough? Can you physically dominate the man across from you? I think Brandon Williams embodies that. He can be considered in the rare group of the Tony Siragusas, the Kelly Greggs, the Haloti Ngatas."The Ravens showed their appreciation to Williams in 2017 when they provided him with a five-year contract rather than allow him to test free agency.Last year, he started the first two games http://www.ravenscheapstores.com/alex-collins-jersey-cheap , both of them victories in which Baltimore allowed a total of 10 points and forced 10 turnovers.Williams missed the next four games with a foot injury, and the Ravens won only one of them."When we lost him, we sunk a little bit," defensive line coach Joe Cullen said. "Brandon is the epitome of what you want an inside tackle to be. He's really quick for a big guy, but so strong he can get big knock-back at the point of attack."Williams has 188 career tackles, 4陆 sacks and one touchdown — on a fumble recovery he took in from the 1.These facts and figures do nothing to convey his importance to the Ravens."I'm a big Brandon Williams fan," coach John Harbaugh said. "Ask the offensive line coaches and the offensive linemen around the league how they feel about blocking him. He's a force in there. He takes up two blockers, sometimes more. He's very stout."You want great players everywhere, but in the middle of your defense it's important to have an anchor that can keep people from running inside and can create better angles for your defense. It's nice to have a big, physical run stopper. The Ravens have always had that. It's really been a staple here historically."Williams certainly doesn't mind being Baltimore's next man in the middle, but he's not interested in merely carrying on a tradition that began long ago."I want to play how I play," Williams said. "I'm not Haloti, even though he was a great player and I learned a lot from him. I want to do my own thing, just be whatever I can be for the team." Dean Pees' retirement from his old job as defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens sure didn't last very long. Not with Mike Vrabel pouncing on the chance to lure his former coach to work with him in Tennessee. Now the NFL schedule is giving the defensive coordinator a chance to try and slow down his old team on Sunday."At some point in time when I do conclude my career," Pees said, "it will be to me a unique situation and a unique opportunity I was given to work for two guys that are great coaches and were great players for me, and for me then to kind of give back and the fact that I kind of know them so well. We're on the same page as far as how you do things and that kind of stuff Cheap Ronnie Stanley Jersey , it all kind of came from the same school."Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who played for Pees at Miami (Ohio), hired his former defensive coordinator in 2010 as linebackers coach before turning over the defense to Pees in 2012 — a year Baltimore won the Super Bowl. Pees held that job through last season before retiring after 45 years as a coach.Vrabel, who played for Pees in New England, called Harbaugh and Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome for permission to talk to the retired Pees once hired as the Titans head coach.Safety Eric Weddle said it was tough to see Pees join the Titans."We were all happy for him, because we know how much he loves coaching," Weddle said. "But he's with them now. We appreciate what he did here, but we're doing our thing now, and he's doing his."The Ravens replaced Pees, 69, by promoting Don "Wink" Martindale. Vrabel hired Pees to replace Dick LeBeau in Tennessee."Replacing Dick LeBeau anywhere is not an easy thing to do, and I was very aware of that, but I felt like we needed a change," Vrabel said. "And Dean has been everything that I had hoped for."Both the Ravens (3-2) and Titans (3-2) come into this game off disappointing road losses. Baltimore lost 12-9 in overtime in Cleveland, while the Titans fell 13-12 in Buffalo. After kickoff, friendships are forgotten for at least three hours."Once the game starts, we'll be trying to choke each other out Youth Michael Crabtree Jersey ," Harbaugh joked. Some things to know about the Ravens and Titans:DEFENSIVE SHOWDOWNWithout Pees, the Ravens remain just as stingy, leading the NFL in scoring defense and with 34 tackles for loss. The Ravens haven't allowed a touchdown in the second half of a game this season. Baltimore also is third in fewest yards allowed, four spots ahead of Pees' Titans, with Tennessee third against the pass, just ahead of Baltimore. Tennessee leads the NFL in red zone defense. The Titans hope to get back veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard after missing a game with an injured shoulder, while Harbaugh hopes to get back defensive tackle Michael Pierce after missing a game with an injured foot.JACKSON'S JAUNTSDrafted 32nd overall, rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson gives opposing defenses something else to think about when he lines up behind center. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner ranks fourth on the team with 72 yards rushing and leads Baltimore with an average of 4.5 yards per carry. Jackson ran three times for 10 yards last week and threw an incomplete pass. He's 1 for 5 through the air this season.NEED MORE OFFENSEThe Titans are coming off their second game this season when they couldn't score a touchdown. Luckily, Marcus Mariota and his elbow is off the injury report for the first time since being hurt in the season opener. But the Titans could be missing left tackle Taylor Lewan, who hurt his right foot in Buffalo. Mariota said it's just a matter of execution and the Titans have to get better.HEAVY WORKLOADTerrell Suggs was used for 66 of the 71 total snaps last week against the Browns, no small workload for a 16-year veteran who turned 36 on Thursday. Suggs is Baltimore's career sacks leader with 129, including 3 1/2 this year. A rigorous training regimen has enabled him to maintain a degree of excellence, but Harbaugh acknowledged that 66 plays might be too much.PAYBACK TIMEOdds are good that C.J. Mosley will get a chance to tackle his former Alabama teammate and current Titans running back Derrick Henry at least once, and the Ravens linebacker says he still owes Henry from last year. Henry converted a big third-down late in a Tennessee win with a big stiff arm, breaking loose from Mosley. "I have to make sure that this time I don't let him get a big play," Mosley said.AP Sports Writer Dave Ginsburg contributed to this report.Follow Teresa M. Walker at teresamwalker
Reds Nolan Ryan Jersey , the Pittsburgh Pirates need one more victory to achieve something of a franchise milestone. If the Pirates (80-78) can win at least once in the series that begins Friday night at Great American Ballpark, they’ll achieve a winning record in a season in which they didn’t make the playoffs for the first time in 30 years. The Pirates have had only six winning seasons since 1989, and they reached the postseason in all six — winning the NL East in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and gaining a NL wild-card spot in 2013, 2014 and 2015. That stretch includes their major league record run of 20 consecutive losing seasons from 1993-2012.Article continues below ...The Pirates will play only 161 games this season because a Sept. 9 rainout against Miami won’t be made up.The last time the Pirates had a winning record but didn’t reach the postseason was 1988, when they faded late in the season and finished 85-75, 15 games behind the division champion New York Mets, during Jim Leyland’s third season as manager. In fact, if they can win at least once in Cincinnati, the Pirates will wind up with a winning record but out of the playoffs for only the second time in 34 years. The Pirates could have assured themselves of a better-than-.500 record by winning either Wednesday or Thursday against the Chicago Cubs, but lost both nights. They were shut out by Cubs left-hander Jon Lester (18-6) and three relievers 3-0 while managing only four hits Thursday night at Wrigley Field.“We had opportunities early. … We had some opportunities,” Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. “But he (Lester) can make pitches, and he’s as good as anybody.”On Friday, the Pirates will send out right-hander Nick Kingham (5-7 http://www.rangersfanproshop.com/authentic-rougned-odor-jersey , 5.23 ERA) to oppose right-hander Anthony DeSclafani (7-7, 4.91) of the Reds, who are finishing the season the way they began it — badly. The same Reds team that started the season 3-15 has lost its last five games and 10 of its last 13, scoring only 17 runs in those 13 games, or an average of 1.3 runs per game.“When you don’t get hits, that’s called being flat, I guess, because you don’t have base runners out there. You don’t have any activity out there, and it has that look,” Reds interim manager Jim Riggleman said. “But they’re working hard before the games and they’re playing it out to the 162-game schedule, and we’re just getting bad results. I don’t have much of an explanation for it.”With one more loss, the Reds (66-93) will assure themselves of a fourth consecutive season with at least 94 losses.A familiar face, but one that’s been missing from the majors for two seasons, will be back with the Pirates this weekend.Infielder Jung Ho Kang Cole Hamels Jersey , who hasn’t played for the Pirates since Oct. 2, 2016 due to injuries and legal problems, will be active for the final three games of the season. It’s uncertain how many games he will start.Kang played briefly in the fall instructional league in Bradenton, Fla., after undergoing cartilage surgery in his left wrist. Before that, he was temporarily unable to enter the United States following a DUI arrest in South Korea, causing him to miss the entire 2017 season.Kang finally was allowed to return to the United States in April and played 16 games at the Triple-A and Class A level before being sidelined by a wrist injury.Kang, who is in the final season of a four-year, $11 million contract, hit .273 with 36 home runs and 120 RBIs in 229 games with Pittsburgh in 2015 and 2016. He had 21 homers and 62 RBIs in 103 games in 2016.“We like the player. We like the upside, Obviously, to add a right-handed bat that can hit 25 to 30 home runs and play good defense, if we can get him back to that, that’s a really interesting player http://www.rangersfanproshop.com/authentic-russell-wilson-jersey ,” Pirates general manager Neal Huntington told reporters in Chicago. The Pirates are dominating the Reds this season, winning 12 of 16, including the last six.Kingham is 0-3 with a 12.19 ERA in his last four starts but beat DeSclafani and the Reds 6-2 on July 21, allowing two runs in 6 1/3 innings in Cincinnati. DeSclafani has lost his last three starts, giving up 12 earned runs in 15 1/3 innings, but is 2-3 with a 3.65 ERA in eight career starts against Pittsburgh. He is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts against Pittsburgh this season. SAN DIEGO (AP) — Seattle Mariners manager Scott Servais kept his word to Edwin Diaz, matching the closer’s flashy haircut following a milestone save over the weekend.Servais had promised he’d get a styled cut similar to Diaz’s if the closer got 50 saves. Diaz notched his 50th save on Saturday, and Servais sat in the chair for Diaz’s personal barber Tuesday.“I think it’s looking fresh, man,” Diaz told MLB.com. “I think he looks like the swaggiest manager in the league.”The hairdo includes a pair of shaved lines along each side of the head, coming to a point behind the ear before curving toward the back of the head. Not exactly a natural look for the 51-year-old Servais.“I’ve got to get some sun on the back of my head, my forehead,” Servais told MLB.com. “The question is for the national anthem tonight. It’s a team rule. I’ll just have to put my head down and grin and bear it. That’s all I can do.”
TAMPA Authentic Jason Pierre-Paul Jersey , Fla. (AP) — Bruce Arians is the latest coach entrusted to transform the struggling Tampa Bay Buccaneers into winners.o fill the team's fifth coaching vacancy in a decade.Arians replaces Dirk Koetter, who was dismissed Dec. 30 after leading the Bucs to 19 wins and no playoffs berths over the past three seasons. Arians coached the Arizona Cardinals for five years, stepping down after the 2017 season with a 50-32-1 record that included one division title, two playoff berths, three seasons with double-digit wins and one NFC championship game appearance."Bruce Arians is one of the NFL's most well-respected coaches over the past two decades and we are excited to have him leading our team," Bucs owner/co-chairman Bryan Glazer said in a statement."Throughout this process, we focused on finding the right coach with a proven ability to elevate our players and lead our team forward," Glazer added. "Bruce has played a large role in the development and career success of some of our league's best players and we look forward to seeing him continue that work here with our franchise."The Bucs, who've finished last in the NFC South seven of the past eight seasons, haven't made the playoffs since 2007 — the second-longest drought in the league. They haven't won a postseason game since their 2002 Super Bowl run under Jon Gruden.Gruden was fired 10 years ago this month.Arians is the latest in a line of successors that includes Raheem Morris, Greg Schiano Womens Ali Marpet Jersey , Lovie Smith and Koetter, who landed the job in 2016 primarily because ownership felt his offensive expertise would accelerate the growth of young quarterback Jameis Winston.General manager Jason Licht also interviewed Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards and Dallas Cowboys defensive backs coach and defensive passing game coordinator Kris Richard. None of them have previous head coaching experience.Arians was believed to be the front-runner all along because of his familiarity with Licht, who was vice president of player personnel for two seasons in Arizona before moving to Tampa Bay as GM in 2014.The Bucs fired Koetter after consecutive 5-11 finishes that dropped his three-year record to 19-29.Despite setting franchise single-season records for points, total yards, passing yards and touchdown passes, Tampa Bay lost 11 of 14 following a surprising 2-0 start with upset victories over New Orleans and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia.During Koetter's stay with the Bucs — first as offensive coordinator, then as a first-time NFL head coach who retained play-calling responsibilities for most of his tenure — Tampa Bay posted four of the five most productive offensive seasons in club history. The 2018 Bucs led the league in passing yards and amassed 500 yards total offense five times, yet were just 1-4 in those games. Turnovers and a porous defense were the main culprits. The day after Koetter was fired, Licht made it clear that whoever wound up replacing the coach would inherit Winston as his starting quarterback."Jameis Winston will be here," the GM said of the No. 1 overall pick from the 2015 draft http://www.tampabaybuccaneersteamonline.com/vinny-curry-jersey , who's due to earn $20.92 million next season in the final year of his rookie contract.Winston sat out the first three games of this season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and was benched twice after regaining the starting job because of inconsistent play. The 25-year-old has 75 career turnovers, including 58 interceptions. Jacksonville's Blake Bortles (76) is the only QB who's turned it over more over the past four seasons. But Winston, who's 21-33 as a starter and only led the team to one winning season in four years, has not been a bust.He completed a career-best 64.6 percent of his passes for 2,992 yards, 19 TDs and 14 interceptions this season and is already Tampa Bay's career TD pass leader with 88. He's only 193 yards shy of replacing Vinny Testaverde (14,820 yards, 1987-92) as the club's all-time passing leader. The Bucs are counting on Arians to help Winston realize his potential.Among the high-profile quarterbacks he has worked with during a long coaching career are Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Carson Palmer and Andrew Luck. The Buccaneers had offensive coordinator Todd Monken call the offensive plays for the first eight games of the 2018 season, but head coach and former playcaller Dirk Koetter took the job back in Week 10.After the 16-3 loss to Washington http://www.tampabaybuccaneersteamonline.com/lavonte-david-jersey , Koetter said only that he “had my reasons” for the change. He expanded his comments on the decision at a Monday press conference.“I’ve been thinking about it a lot, and I think Todd Monken has done a terrific job calling the plays that why he’s continued to do it,” Koetter said, via the Tampa Bay Times. “But in this game, I just felt like the type of game it was going to be based on Washington’s offense, I thought that we needed to try to control the clock a little bit more and try to give our defense a little bit of time — maybe less time on the field that maybe we need to try to run it a little more and use our [run play options] a little bit more. That was the main reason behind it.”Koetter, who said he hasn’t decided if he’ll call plays again, succeeded in keeping the defense off the field in the first half as the Buccaneers held the ball for nearly 20 minutes and dialed up plays that put up 501 yards. The Bucs only scored three points, though, and the loss pushed the Bucs closer to a losing season that could cost Koetter his job.
Well Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hoodie , that was awesome.Even though we only went 1/5 on our predictions last week, the one that came through was ultimately the most important prediction - and that was that the Bucs would win the game. But as they say in the NFL, it’s on to the next game. Ryan Fitzpatrick will throw for less than 250 yards and two touchdowns (Evan)Historically speaking, Fitzpatrick tends to shrink from the spotlight after a big game. He has thrown for four or more touchdowns in a game seven times during his career. However, he only averages one touchdown and around 226 passing yards during the following game. Even though the Saints were thought to be much improved on defense, the Eagles showed how good theirs was in last Thursday’s win over the Falcons. Unless Tampa Bay is playing catch-up late in the game, I believe Fitzpatrick comes back down to earth. 2. Mike Evans will lead the Bucs in receiving again (Evan)Whether it be another 147-yard performance or an 80-yard performance, Evans will lead the team in receiving for the second straight week. He’s simply been playing out of his mind since training camp began and that has rolled over into the regular season so far. Despite the Eagles’ excellent defense, Evans will find ways to make plays.Evans conquered his demons in New OrleansPhoto by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesJim Schwartz proved against the Falcons that he can allow your best player (Julio Jones) to have a great night and it won’t even matter if he shuts down the rest of the offense. Evans - like Jones - is a matchup nightmare. Schwartz will let him do his thing, but the Eagles will stay on track defensively. 3. Carlton Davis gets his first career interception. (Alex)The rookie struggled in his first career game, but as head coach Dirk Koetter said, Davis performed about as well as any rookie in that situation would have. With all due respect to Nick Foles, he is not Drew Brees in any way shape or form. Foles will try and pick on the rookie, like the Saints did, but this time Davis comes up big. Since day one, I have loved what I’ve seen from Davis, not only on the field, but off of it as well. He has the confidence to bounce back after a rough game and what better way to do it then against the defending Super Bowl champions. 4. Peyton Barber explodes for big game (Alex)Yes, I know, very bold, especially against the Eagles front seven. Barber Youth Customized Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jerseys , who rushed for 69 yards on 19 carries, had plenty of wide open holes in the first half, but not many in the second half. With the Eagles coming to town, look for the Buccaneers to try and wear them down in the run game. Atlanta didn’t succeed, but the opportunity for Tampa Bay will be there, especially if they are up in the second half again. Bold stat line prediction for Barber: 26 carries, 120 yards, 2 touchdowns. 5. The Eagles will record at least three sacks (Evan)I don’t blame you if you believe me to be a Schwartz fanboy after this - but the dude is legitimately one of the best defensive coordinators in the NFL. He will show that this Sunday. The child-eating ogre known as Fletcher Cox and the rest of the Eagles’ defensive line will force Tampa Bay’s offensive line into enough mistakes where they will give up at least three sacks on the day. Cox is a man amongst menPhoto by Al Messerschmidt/Getty ImagesOn the surface, it doesn’t seem likely considering the fact that the Bucs’ offensive line didn’t give up a single sack against the Saints and that was with stalwart Cameron Jordan manning one of the end spots. But Dennis Allen is no Schwartz and the Bucs will find that out the hard way come Sunday.NFL Hard Count Episode 18-1: The Hall and Bucs Players to Watch As this is the first installment of my NFL Hard Count series, I figured it would be wise to breakdown what this is going to be all about.First, this serves as an outlet for me personally to discuss things with you which may not pertain solely to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It may be strange at first to consider a site dedicated to the coverage of one NFL franchise discussing topics about the other 31 NFL teams, but what happens in the football community is important to all active members. So, the connection is there, even if it isn’t so obvious. There are three parts to this: False Start, Offside, and Free Play. As these are the three things which normally happen on a football field when an effective hard count is executed, I figure we pay homage to these and theme our topics in the same fashion. In those segments, we’ll talk about some things which may not have gone the way the person or team intended (False Start), something I disagree with from the past week or whatever period we’re talking about (Offside), and then a wild card so to speak where I’ll find something for each installment to hopefully peak your interest and spark some comment section conversations (Free Play).Got it? Alright then, let’s get right to it.FALSE START: THE NFL’S NEW HELMET RULEAccording to Rule 12 www.buccaneersauthorizedshops.com , Section 2, Article 8,The penalty is considered a personal foul and comes with a fifteen-yard penalty and if committed by a defensive player also comes with an automatic first down. This new rule also opens the door to possible disqualification. That’s it. That’s the rule鈥?in its entirety. In contrast, roughing or running into the kicker has two items in its article describing how the rule applies to players in the air versus on the ground among seven other scenarios in which a defensive player might contact a kicker. But for this rule. This rule gets one sentence, no situational guidance, and a penalty description which includes possible ejection from the game. What could the player be ejected for? Well, it doesn’t say in the NFL’s ruling document itself.Note: The NFL did later deliver what they were looking for when discussing possible ejections for this rule. The unveiling of this new rule quickly took center stage in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. On a night which should have centered on remembering the great contributions of the 2018 class, enjoying the first bit of live football in months, and looking to see if Lamar Jackson was lined up at quarterback or wide receiver; instead we were left a lot of questions and many Twitter reactions to this new rule.Just when we thought we might be inching beyond the whole ‘what is and isn’t a catch’ era, in comes the ‘what is and isn’t leading with the head’ to follow it up.However, as some pointed out also on Twitter, all is not lost.Whew! Ok. So this makes me feel better. I actually tweeted something similar but hearing it from an actual NFL Veteran has a better feel to it.The pre-season isn’t just a time when players and coaches work towards getting their collective acts together, it’s also a time for the officials and league itself to do the same.I’m sure the NFL front-office has looked at each hit called and uncalled from the Hall of Fame Game to tune some of these calls and no-calls.For now, it definitely was not the smoothest execution of a new rule implementation. But we’re still a month away from regular season action. So, we can breathe a bit. Now, if we see the same stuff in Week 4 of the pre-season, all bets are off.John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsOFFSIDE: TERRELL OWENS HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONWide receiver Terrell Owens had a career which saw him play for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals. He might be the Dan Marino of wide receivers Tampa Bay Buccaneers Womens T-Shirt , being the best one to never win a ring. What overshadowed Owens’ talent at times was his personality. Whether it be pulling a sharpie from his sock, eating popcorn after a score, standing on the star in Dallas, etc, etc, etc鈥is personality almost always took center stage. His interactions with the media weren’t always the smoothest either. Perhaps this is the reason he wasn’t a first ballot Hall of Fame selection. One can argue his statistics alone put him among the best to ever do it, but for whatever reason, the voters didn’t see fit to put him in until his third look. That’s there prerogative. And then came Owens’ induction ceremony and speech which didn’t take place in Canton, Ohio. Instead he chose to hold his celebration at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. My take on this is simply this:Owens spent his career doing things his way because he didn’t see the reason why he needed to fit into whatever mold people expected him to fit into. Fine, I understand this to a certain extent. Was it petty for the voters of the Hall of Fame to pass him over twice? Yes. Yes it was. But, the door was opened for such pettiness by Owens’ own actions. Actions he took at times with the intention of frustrating those very voters. Now, I’m not defending the act of denying a player who had a career well deserving of enshrinement the honor of induction. What I’m saying is, if you act one way you should expect to have a similar or greater reaction. This was the writers’ reaction. Similarly, Owens had his reaction, which led to the ceremony in Tennessee. Eventually someone is going to have the last word. Neither side is willing to let the other have it though. In his speech, Owens said he decided to do his ceremony elsewhere to prevent what happened to him from happening to someone else.Problem is, this didn’t happen to Owens. He orchestrated this. No, it doesn’t make it right, but it’s still a fact.Every once in a while I see someone in my workplace acting ‘clownish’, and when I do I ask them if they’d like to be treated like a clown or like a professional. They never respond they want to be treated like a clown. So, if Terrell Owens didn’t want to be treated like an unappreciated outsider Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hats , then he probably shouldn’t have acted like one.Owens should have been a first ballot Hall of Famer. But nobody stole the distinction from him. He chose through his many actions, not as a young 22-year old player but throughout his career, to open the door for those with the ability to deny him the opportunity and motivation to do so.Kim Klement-USA TODAY SportsFREE PLAY: MY PRESEASON PLAYERS TO WATCHOk, so this isn’t the hardest hitting item out there. But it’s finally game week for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and this might be my fourth favorite part of the football year behind the post-season, draft, and free-agent period. The pre-season is where you see the majority of your depth. Guys you might not see again until they’re ‘surprising’ everyone with their sudden regular season performance.I remember the first time I really sat down and looked at a pre-season match-up with any eye towards the future. It was a New York Giants game. Who they were playing I can’t remember, but I do remember Victor Cruz. Now, I didn’t break down his play from a release, stem manipulation, break, etc. standpoint, but I did think about how he looked like someone with real talent. When he broke onto the NFL scene, I was even more excited. Who doesn’t like being right? All these years later I’ve got my eyes on some Bucs players looking to make their mark on Tampa Bay’s active roster. My specific five are Shaun Wilson, Justin Watson, Caleb Benenoch/Alex Cappa, M.J. Stewart and Vernon Hargreaves III.Not all rookies. All young guys though.I can’t wait to see what they look like this coming Thursday against the Miami Dolphins, and I hope you are all just as excited to see our Bucs take the field for the first time in 2018.That wraps up my first hard-count. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Let me know your thoughts on any of these topics or all at once. Who are the players you’re watching closely this pre-season? And what are your predictions for mine?
The story of the Panthers’ offensive line continues to be a sad one. According to Ian Rapaport of NFL Network Youth Trai Turner Jersey , the Panthers are expected to put offensive tackle Daryl Williams on injured reserve. The designation would sideline the All Pro tackle for at least eight weeks. The caveat withat is he has to be on the final 53 man roster at the end of the preseason to be eligible to return, so this designation likely won’t become official until the first week of September. If his health allows it, Williams will be able to start practicing with the team again after six weeks and eligible to return to the active roster for the Panthers week 9 tilt against the Buccaneers. It’s unfortunate that the Panthers will be without a key piece on their offensive line for such a significant portion of the season, but it opens the door for Taylor Moton to get experience and show what he’s got. The presence of the second year pro marks the beginning of this new thing the Panthers are trying out called offensive line depth, and it’s coming in handy now. Look for Moton to get extra reps in the preseason to get him up to speed in time for the Panthers regular season opener in just over a month. Sunday was an ugly performance by the Carolina Panthers’ offense in their 23-17 loss to Washington. Costly first half turnovers and special teams errors set the tone early for the game. Carolina tried hard as their might to come out of the 17-point hole and match the biggest comeback in franchise history. With a minute left in the game on the Washington 16-yard line http://www.authenticscarolinapanthers.com/cheap-mario-addison-jersey , Panthers were unable to utilize on downs with three straight incompletions.Right now, the Panthers sit at a 3-2 record and are winless on the road. The Philadelphia Eagles have a few extra days of rest after a 31-13 win over the New York Giants last Thursday. Jim Schwartz-led defense made it difficult for Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. and Eli Manning to connect. A forced interception by the Eagles set up an early touchdown and built momentum throughout the game. Despite what many want to say, Eagles’ have a strong defense. They’ve only allowed 11 touchdowns all season. A road win won’t be easy for the Panthers. Here are four keys for Carolina’s offense to defeat Eagle’s defense:Perfect third-down conversions and red zone game: If there were a game to get things clicking on third down and red zone efficiency this would be the one. Eagles currently have the third best 3rd down defense in the league. They also have the best red zone defense. Ball security has been an issue for the Panthers all season long on scoring drives. Head coach Ron Rivera needs to be more aggressive about scoring and leave the reserved play calling at home. Players also need to do better at handling the ball. Involve CMC more: Despite a strong rushing defense, Eagles have a not-so intimidating passing defense. Christian McCaffrey should be a safety valve and involved more as a passing weapon. While McCaffrey has catches in bulk, his longest reception is only a measly 18 yards. Allowing CMC to catch the ball more only protects Cam Newton. Giving Newton a high percentage route to check down to eventually forces the Eagles to respect him underneath. Use explosive plays: Philadelphia has allowed seven plays of at least 45 yards Color Rush Torrey Smith Jersey , tied with the Raiders for most in the NFL. Those seven plays have totaled 420 yards, 20% of all the yards the Eagles have given up this season. Explosive plays are the key to defeating an Eagles team that’s allowed the third-fewest first downs in the league. As stated above, leave the reserved play-calling at home. Newton has too many weapons that he can use down field. Cover Cam: In their TNF win, Eagles’ front seven pounded the Giants. Eli Manning was hit in the backfield 13 times and sacked another four times. So far this season, Panthers’ offensive line has played much better than expected despite the many injuries and position changes. However Color Rush Greg Van Roten Jersey , this will be a true test. Despite a strong rushing defense, Eagles have given up some plays to quarterbacks leaving the pocket. Nobody is more mobile than Newton. Ball security and play calling will play a huge part if the Panthers are to defeat this NFC East foe. Eagles are arguably the best defense Carolina has faced yet.
The football season is (finally) upon us. On Sunday Cheap Kawann Short Jersey , the Panthers kick things off with a home game versus the Cowboys. Both teams on paper match up fairly. Like the Panthers, the Cowboys are battling their own set of injuries on the offensive line. Both teams sport a quarterback able to control the game and both have a defense that’s talented. But the one position that could control tempo of the game for either team is running back. Ezekiel Elliott battled the drama of a looming six-game suspension last season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Elliott faced his suspension the latter half of the season but not without making some noise first. In a matter of 10 games, Elliott managed to rush for 983 yards. He’s fast, he has power, he has agility, and he’s one of the best in the NFL. There’s also no doubt about it Cheap Greg Olsen Jersey , Elliott will be ready to play on Sunday and he’ll be running harder than ever. The Cowboys have an up and coming quarterback in Dak Prescott. However, Prescott doesn’t have the same talent at wide receiver he once had with the release of Dez Bryant in the offseason. Dallas has a young receiver in Michael Gallup and their other option is Allen Hurns — a former Jaguars standout. If things go faulty, Cowboys will have to rely heavily on Elliott. Thankfully for the Panthers, they have one of the best defenders in the league in Luke Kuechly. Panthers head coach Ron Rivera said in the offseason that he’d like to see Christian McCaffrey get 25-30 touches per game. It’s also clear that first year offensive coordinator Norv Turner anticipates a running back who can tear up a defense on every down. Christian McCaffrey can run routes and run the ball out of the backfield. He is versatile in terms of style. Cam Newton can throw and he can run. Unfortunately for Newton, he’s now backed up by a patchwork version of an offensive line. DeMarcus Lawrence is a beast of a defensive end and is Dallas’ best defensive player. Last season, Lawrence had a career high 14.5 sacks and is looking for another stellar season. Newton will be pressured and he could be stopped if Taylor Moton doesn’t play his part. In turn http://www.pantherscheapshop.com/cheap-authentic-devin-funchess-jersey , CMC could be the game changer if things don’t go well in the air. With pressure in the air for both teams, there will be plenty of running on the field. Whoever can utilize their run game better will likely take the win. We are now officially a Queen podcast. The NFL approved the additional use of the throwback jerseys for the game, adding to Miami’s use of them earlier this year against the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. The Dolphins are also expected to go with a throwback paint scheme in the endzones, with Garfinkel including a picture of the Dolphins’ old orange endzone with the helmet and script “Dolphins.”The previous throwback uniform uses coincided with the Dolphins using aqua and orange diamonds across the endzone. The league this year allowed all teams to select three games in which they would wear alternate uniforms - either their “Color Rush Youth Raekwon McMillan Jersey ,” a throwback variant, or a third jersey variant - three teams during the season, with the teams picking which uniform to wear and how many times to use each. That change - previously the NFL had authorized teams to wear the alternate variant or throwback twice, with the Color Rush worn on Thursday Night Football games mandated - was announced during the summer, but the Dolphins had already planned their uniform use for the year. Now Womens Josh Sitton Jersey , they have adjusted and added the third throwback date to the schedule. The Dolphins will host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 1pm ET.

Ravens’ dominant http://www.baltimoreravensteamauthentic.com/james-hurst-jersey , 47-3 victory over the Bills. Despite poor playing conditions, Baltimore made big plays on both sides of the ball throughout the game. Check out all the best moments from Week 1 and vote for the “Play of the Week”!Tavon Young’ssack: In his first regular season action since 2016, Young wasted no time making an impact. Blitzing out of the nickel corner spot, Young was able to sneak between the offensive line to bring down Nathan Peterman. It was the first of six Baltimore sacks on the day. John Brown’s 29-yard reception: The Ravens opening drive looked promising before two big penalties stalled momentum. However, with Baltimore facing a 2nd & 26, Flacco hooked up with John Brown for a long reception across the field. It was an important play to keep the drive alive and set up Alex Collins’ touchdown run. Alex Collins’ eight-yard touchdown run: Although it was a forgetful game overall for running back Alex Collins, he got the Ravens on the board early with this impressive touchdown run. Collins fought hard to reach the end zone and showed both muscle and determination to get across the goal line. John Brown’sseven-yard touchdown reception: Brown’s big regular season debut as a Raven continued late in the first quarter when he got open in the back of the end zone and secured a touchdown pass from Joe Flacco. The play put the Ravens up two possessions heading into the second quarter. Tony Jefferson’s interception: On a 3rd & 8 in the second quarter, a Nathan Peterman pass sailed over the head of intended receiver Kelvin Benjamin and into the arms of Tony Jefferson. Jefferson was in the right place at the right time, and it set up a Justin Tucker field goal to put the Ravens up 20-0. Michael Crabtree’s 12-yard touchdown reception: Crabtree made up for his poor start to the game with an impressive, acrobatic touchdown reception just before halftime. Crabtree somehow managed to get both feet in bounds in the corner of the end zone. It was his third catch of the game, all of which came on the same drive. Willie Snead IV’s 13-yard touchdown pass: Early in the third quarter, Flacco hit Willie Snead on a slant route in Bills’ territory. Snead bounced off defenders and crossed the goal line to extend the lead to 33-0. Snead is known for his ability to create out of the slot and make plays after the catch, which is evident in this play. Dean Pees' retirement from his old job as defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens sure didn't last very long. Not with Mike Vrabel pouncing on the chance to lure his former coach to work with him in Tennessee. Now the NFL schedule is giving the defensive coordinator a chance to try and slow down his old team on Sunday."At some point in time when I do conclude my career http://www.baltimoreravensteamauthentic.com/sam-koch-jersey ," Pees said, "it will be to me a unique situation and a unique opportunity I was given to work for two guys that are great coaches and were great players for me, and for me then to kind of give back and the fact that I kind of know them so well. We're on the same page as far as how you do things and that kind of stuff, it all kind of came from the same school."Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who played for Pees at Miami (Ohio), hired his former defensive coordinator in 2010 as linebackers coach before turning over the defense to Pees in 2012 — a year Baltimore won the Super Bowl. We appreciate what he did here, but we're doing our thing now, and he's doing his."The Ravens replaced Pees, 69 http://www.ravensauthorizedshops.com/authentic-marshal-yanda-jersey , by promoting Don "Wink" Martindale. After kickoff, friendships are forgotten for at least three hours."Once the game starts, we'll be trying to choke each other out," Harbaugh joked. The Titans hope to get back veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard after missing a game with an injured shoulder Cheap Maurice Canady Jersey , while Harbaugh hopes to get back defensive tackle Michael Pierce after missing a game with an injured foot.JACKSON'S JAUNTSDrafted 32nd overall, rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson gives opposing defenses something else to think about when he lines up behind center.
The Ravens received good news on Saturday morning as offensive lineman Marshal Yanda has been removed from the PUP list as he passed his physical.Yanda suffered a season-ending ankle injury in week two against the Browns last season Youth Lamar Jackson Jersey , but he was not on the PUP list due to that injury. He started training camp on the PUP list due to a shoulder injury. Yanda had offseason surgery on his shoulder, which forced him to miss the first couple of weeks of training camp. He did not return to the field on Saturday as the Ravens will likely ease him into action, but this is indeed a positive development. Yanda will bring stability to the offensive line. He is considered one of the best guards in football right now. Pro Football Focus has consistently graded him in their top 10 of all guards over the past couple of seasons, and that should not change in 2018. When he returns, the offensive line position battles will continue to heat up as James Hurst will be able to compete for the starting right tackle and left guard spots. However, given how well Orlando Brown Jr. has looked in training camp and in the first preseason game, Hurst’s best shot at being a starter is at left guard. It appears there will be a three-man competition for two spots: center and left guard. Alex Lewis, Matt Skura and Hurst will all be under a microscope for the next upcoming month as Baltimore will be deciding who will be the starters. Not to mention Jermaine Eluemunor could factor into that competition. He was extremely impressive during the Hall of Fame Game as he only allowed one pressure, per Pro Football Focus. The Ravens are set to hold joint practices with Los Angeles next week leading up to their preseason game, which should be a good test for Baltimore as the Rams have a stout defensive front.
