As a result, De Rossi was dropped from Italys squad for Wednesdays friendly at Spain. Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi was also banned for three matches, for elbowing an opponent and drawing a red card less than a minute after he went on in the second half of a 1-0 loss to Parma on Sunday.
